The Chamber Music MM Degree

The University of South Florida's School of Music is one of the few universities nation-wide to offer a Master's of Music Degree in Chamber Music. The Chamber Music MM Degree at USF is available for string and piano students. Students in this degree program receive weekly lessons in their instrument (piano, violin, viola, or cello) while also receiving weekly chamber ensemble coachings. The recital requirement for graduation is a chamber recital.

This is a two-year degree program for those students coming from undergraduate studies, without a Master's of Music Degree, or a one-year degree program for students who already possess a Master's of Music Degree.

Assistantships are available on a competitive basis that cover full tuition as well as provide a healthy stipend. These Teaching and Graduate Assistantships help our graduate students learn the important skills needed for teaching and assisting with undergraduate level courses, studio accompanying, and performing chamber music.
